The 2024 SPAH Convention will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma, August 13-17, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Downtown in Tulsa.
Convention and Hotel Registration Details are provided below for all those attending in person.
We will open registration for Online/Virtual Attendance in May, 2024.

2024 Performers and Programs

At the 2024 SPAH Convention in Tulsa, you will be entertained by some incredible talent, including Hank Shreve, Cheryl Arena, Ross Garren, The AJ Windemeyer/Phil Caltabellotta/Boaz Kim Harmonica Trio, Enrico Granafei, Winslow Yerxa, PT Gazell, Mitch Grainger, Kiersi Joli, 2024 Rosebush Youth Scholars, The Chris Bauer Jazz Hour, The Tom Stryker Big Band, The Michael Rubin Variety Show, all with amazing guitar accompaniment from Kyle Rowland, Dan Ruppa and Eric Noden.

And, there are more world-class acts still to be announced!

Of course, don’t forget all the SPAH perennial favorites, returning in 2024: The SPAH Blues Blowoff, Saturday morning Gospel Show, SPAH Troubadours, Joe Filisko Teach-in, Wednesday afternoon Blues Showcase, Jazz Jam, and all the evening Blues/Country/Gospel Jams.

The welcome reception starts on Tuesday August 13th at 3:30pm in the hotel lobby.
The registration desk opens at 1:30pm for pre-registered attendees, 3:30pm for those registering on site.
The Blues Blowoff kicks off at 6:30pm on Tuesday evening on the Founders’ Stage

There will be the usual fabulous array of over 40 Seminars and Presentations during the daytime.

Starting on Monday, March 4th, click here to Register for the Convention and attend in person.
The Hyatt Regency will begin accepting room reservations in the SPAH block at the same time.
To be certain of obtaining the proper SPAH rate, after March 4, we recommend using this link provided to make your Hotel reservation at the Hyatt Regency.

NOTE: Only SPAH members in good standing may make nominations for SPAH awards. However, nominees do not need to be members of SPAH. Each year, recipients will be selected by the SPAH board solely from nominations made that year by members like you. Please send in a nomination of your favorite candidate in each category so that the Committee may consider them for a SPAH Award.

WELCOME BACK TO TULSA

The Route 66 Harmonica Club has the pleasure and the privilege of hosting our fourth SPAH convention in 2024. We are very proud of our hometown and hope you will find some time during your visit to discover some of what Tulsa and Oklahoma have to offer.

TOURS, etc

If golf is your game, you can play a round at one of several public courses. And, if you prefer to play after dark, you can visit the par three course at LaFortune Park. If you like to fish, you can visit one of four lakes within an hour of Tulsa. The Tulsa Zoo and Oxley Nature Center are fifteen minutes from downtown as is the Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness. You can also walk among Sharks and pet the Stingrays at the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks. The Gathering Place, is a world-class urban park given to the city by The George Kaiser Family Foundation. Requiring five years to build, the 140-acre park includes indoor and outdoor areas for children to play and learn; a lagoon with boat rentals; a beer garden; sports courts; a skate park; and more. You can rent one of many bikes or scooters available along the curbs of the downtown streets and be at the park in less than 15 minutes. Or, if running is your routine, you can get there by including the River Parks trail in your route. If you visited in 2022 you may remember the Woody Guthrie Center, The Bob Dylan Center, Cain’s Ballroom (Home of Bob Wills Texas Playboys), Greenwood Rising (A museum exploring the 1921 Race Massacre that wiped out a thriving black community on the north side of downtown), and the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame. The Church Studio (Home to Leon Russell’s Shelter Records) offers tours as well.

New this year on Wednesday morning, we will offer a “Meet and Greet” opportunity for those registered for the Will Rogers Museum Tour, and for anyone who would like to learn more about sight-seeing opportunities near the hotel, many within comfortable walking distance.

For those going on the Thursday tour to the Will Rogers Museum in Claremore, Oklahoma (40 minutes from the Hyatt), we will review details for the trip. Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available at the meeting.
